Representing a new generation with strong Jewish social networks or a familiarity with Jewish rituals and concepts, artists will create a work-in-progress and exhibit other work in various media including fashion, music, performance art, and video. Events include concerts, salons, a runway show, a poetry slam, and a Purim party. For these artists, Judaism is playful, performative, and technological, and represents but one aspect of their multiple identities and communities. Some artists utilize the language of irony and pop culture, some draw inspiration from liturgical and spiritual sources, and some combine both. More About the artist: Diwon has performed with Lou Reed, Anthony Coleman, DJ
Spooky, Matisyahu, MC Paul Barman, Spankrock, Steinski, and Idan
